750 feet of painted steel, this is a major feat for the so-called clean train era and a possible record for biggest whole train painted in history. The R line, which this was painted on, only runs a maximum of 8 cars per train which means it’s likely the whole thing was painted in two parts: two cars with ‘MA’ and an 8 car whole train, with “DE U LOOK” and Mr. Monopoly.

I can't decide if this is good or bad. In response to the enormous amount of bootleggers, BANKSY is giving away a dozen or so images of his art for free on his website. I have a feeling of excitement that he would share his work in this way mixed with sad feelings that this society we live in won't support those that make it awesome.

New Years Eve, the final day of the Gregorian year, and the world's way of creating another holiday transitioning into New Year's Day holiday, seems like its usually a celebration involving copious amounts of champagne and alcohol, the need for a designated driver and a lot of hype surrounding thirty seconds around midnight.
This year, I am doing something different and it seems like the more people I talk to, the more I hear that other plans are straying for the norm as well. I'm interested.... what are you doing for New Year's and why?
[In case you haven't figured it out yet, I'll be in the desert]
It has been nearly thirty years since mopeds appeared on the scene then quickly faded away until their revival in the early 2000's. For those of you not in the know, moped subculture is either coming to a city near you or it has already taken over. The Moped Army, a moped community with 18 branches throughout the United States with over 350 branch members and 13,500 registered users is out there representing two wheeled fun at a brisk pace of around 30 miles per hour.
Mopeds may be the connecting point but when it all boils down to it, its all about the fun, the friends and the parties.
The Tom Cruisers, the Tempe, Arizona branch of the Moped Army will be hosting it's first moped rally in the middle of the desert this New Years Eve....
Here's their event itinerary.
And here's another little gem:
If any of you had the opportunity to go see the Wooster on Spring this weekend I would love to hear your thoughts since I didn't get to go and will never again have the opportunity [and that kind of bums me out].

In the right scenario, they could be on to something...
A company called Remote Control Mail now offers a service that will take your snail mail, scan it into a PDF and email it to you for you to read. In most cases, I would say this is a bit overkill... is it that difficult to open mail, its not saving any trees... but reflecting back to my recent extended stay away from home, I realize how valuable this could be for those who are traveling, on tour, or, heck, just don't want to check their mailbox. It clearly won't work for care packages or bulk items but you would never have to fill out a change of address form again.
